TIMEC completes sixth year at Chevron Salt Lake City without an OSHA recordable

Today TIMEC completed its sixth year at the Chevron Salt Lake City, UT refinery without a recordable injury, following nearly 1.5 million man-hours of work. TIMEC provides routine maintenance and turnaround services at the site.

Since the inception of the contract in 2003, TIMEC has also provided specialty work through its safety division (Welltech), catalyst handling division (James-TIMEC) and welding division (World-Wide Welding), continuously focusing on securing the safest work conditions possible.

As a result of its impeccable safety record at the facility, TIMEC received two meritorious safety performance awards from the NPRA (National Petrochemical & Refiners Association) for its work in 2008. One was awarded to TIMEC Company, Inc. and the other to Welltech.

TIMEC received similar awards from the NPRA every year. For its performance in 2007, the NPRA presented TIMEC with one award for TIMEC Company, Inc. and one for Welltech. For its performance in 2006, TIMEC received one for TIMEC Company, Inc. and one for Welltech. For its performance in 2005, it received one for TIMEC Company, Inc., one for Welltech and one for World-Wide Welding. For its performance in 2004, it received one for TIMEC Company, Inc. and one for Welltech.

TIMEC celebrated this milestone with a party at the Chevron facility on August 27. TIMEC’s routine maintenance staff, upper management and several Chevron employees attended the event.
