New Chief Executive for North American Business

Transfield Services announced today the appointment of Mr. Larry Ames as Chief Executive for North America, commencing January 4, 2010.

Mr. Ames has more than 20 years of global experience in senior roles in various industries spanning a wide range of services, including engineering and construction, facilities management, security and logistics.

He was most recently president of Day & Zimmermann's Government Services business in the US, and his experience covers both the private and the public sectors.

Mr. Ames will be responsible for managing and growing the North American business, which includes three wholly owned subsidiaries, facilities management specialist, USM; industrial services company, TIMEC; and Transfield Services Transportation Infrastructure and the Canadian oil sands joint venture. The North American business contributed 34 percent of total revenue for the Transfield Services group in Fiscal Year 2009.
